How Wise shows up on Google

DataForSEO counts about 658,000 keywords that Wise ranks for in US Google results. About 397,000 rank on the first page and about 235,000 rank in the top three. That comes to an estimated 6.6 million visits a month from US search, and a backlink rank of 78 out of 100.

What ChatGPT says

Asked "What is the cheapest way to send money internationally?", ChatGPT listed three services to compare and put Wise first, describing it as the "Best starting point for bank-to-bank transfers." Asked "Which app is best for sending money abroad with low fees?", it answered that "Wise and Remitly are two of the best apps to compare first." In both answers, Wise was the first brand named.

What customers say

Wise has 302,600 reviews on Trustpilot with an average of 4.3 out of 5, by far the largest review base of the seven brands in this series. On G2, the only Wise listing is Wise Business, which shows 3.9 from 95 reviews. That is too small a sample to outweigh a third of a million Trustpilot reviews, so the reviews grade rests mainly on Trustpilot.

The trend

DataForSEO's estimate of Wise's US search visits peaked at about 7.3 million in December 2025 and stood at 6.6 million in September 2026, 3% below September 2025. These are modeled estimates rather than Wise's own analytics. Read together, they describe a brand holding its ground rather than one still climbing.

Steal this

What Wise teaches, written so you can use it on your own business.

  1. Volume makes a score believable. A 4.3 from 302,600 reviews says far more than a 4.9 from a few hundred, so keep asking every customer, not only the happy ones you hear from.
  2. Be the answer to the money question. ChatGPT described Wise as the "Best starting point for bank-to-bank transfers," which is the plain question a first-time sender asks. Make sure your own pages answer it in those words.
  3. Holding steady at the top still needs watching. Wise's estimate is 10% off its December peak, which isn't a crisis, but it's the early signal worth tracking monthly.

How I graded this

Brand
Wise
Data as of
October 9, 2026
Method
Data gathered October 9, 2026, through the DataForSEO API, for Google in the United States in English. SEO uses DataForSEO's domain overview (keywords ranking in Google's top 10 and top 3, and estimated monthly organic visits) and its backlink rank on a 100-point scale. AI search asks ChatGPT two questions a buyer in the brand's category would ask, through DataForSEO's ChatGPT scraper, and grades whether the brand is named and where it appears. Reviews read the brand's Trustpilot score and review count, gathered through DataForSEO, beside its G2 rating as G2's own listings show it in search results, because the two sites draw different reviewers and a business tool's scores on them can differ sharply. Growth compares DataForSEO's estimate of US organic search visits in September 2026 with September 2025. Those traffic figures are DataForSEO's modeled estimates, not the brand's own analytics, and two prompts are a small sample of what ChatGPT says. Grades run from A (leading its category) through C (ordinary for a brand of this size) to F (a clear weakness).
